The Casteel record book
Harwood graduated in 2026 after playing a program-record 125 varsity games. He also finished as Casteel’s career leader in extra-base hits with 53 and RBIs with 117—three marks that capture both his durability and the run-producing presence he brought to the middle of the Colts lineup.
He was part of Casteel’s back-to-back Arizona 5A state championship teams in 2023 and 2024, then helped keep the Colts on the national stage through three appearances at USA Baseball’s National High School Invitational.

A world champion with Team USA
Harwood entered the USA Baseball development pipeline at the 2021 13U/14U Athlete Development Program. One year later, he earned a place on the 15U National Team and traveled to the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup.
Across the tournament he went 5-for-12 with four RBIs and two stolen bases, then added 4⅓ scoreless innings and nine strikeouts on the mound. In the gold-medal game against Cuba, Harwood recorded the final two outs with the tying and go-ahead runs on base to preserve a 4–3 victory and a world championship.
Built for national stages
Harwood became a three-time Area Code Games participant and was named MVP of the 2024 Perfect Game Underclass All-American Games. At NHSI, he hit .364 in 2024 and earned a place on the 2025 All-Tournament Team. In 2026, USA Baseball measured a 108.9 mph exit velocity off his bat—one of the loudest contact readings at the event.
Those stages showed the complete profile: a physical left-handed bat, two-way experience, composure in high-leverage moments, and years of success against elite national competition.
Headed to Aggieland
Harwood signed with Texas A&M as one of the leading players in the Aggies’ 2026 recruiting class. Baseball America ranked him among the nation’s notable recruits, while his Team USA, NHSI, Area Code, and Perfect Game experience prepared him for the demands of SEC baseball.
His next chapter carries forward a familiar identity: compete with toughness, develop with purpose, and represent Casteel wherever the game leads.
