Our new locker room and coaches’ space are coming together! We’re inviting our Casteel Baseball community to help add the finishing touches—a comfortable place for players to connect, coaches to prepare, and everyone to celebrate Colts baseball.
This wish list includes practical supplies and a few fun extras beyond our planned construction budget. Every donation is optional and appreciated, big or small.

Player locker room
- 40′ × 24′ player footprint from the earlier sketch; turf throughout.
- Target: 28 lockers tight against the walls in a horseshoe, including the back of the solid foyer wall.
- An inward-opening door beside locker 12 leads directly to the rear turf walkway and cages, without passing through the coaches’ office.
- Two full-height posts: one incorporated into the foyer wall, one within the lounge area.
- Ping-pong turns lengthwise between the post line and the office wall. The field-facing window shifts toward this end.
- One easy-clean black couch near the freestanding post creates a gathering/study area. A pool table with a ping-pong topper is only an alternative under review for bounce quality and clearance.
Coach Denny’s walkthrough supersedes the earlier sketch. Office dimensions remain provisional; all post positions, openings, furniture fit and circulation require a measured layout. Renderings convey the intended atmosphere, not exact construction geometry.
FROM FLOOR PLAN TO TEAM HOME

AI-generated architectural concepts—not progress photos or construction drawings. Locker counts, fixtures and finishes are illustrative. Follow the revised schematic and room notes for the planned wall, openings and recognition locations. The roof/scout deck is omitted in these interior views; exterior cladding and storage are future goals, not secured work.

COACH DENNY’S LOCKER DESIGN
A place for every player.
Built around the C
Gray woodgrain cabinetry, a navy cushioned seat with the Casteel C, a personalized nameplate and warm lighting at the helmet shelf and toe kick. Bright, even overhead lighting and coordinated electrical work are priorities throughout the rooms.
Everything has a home
A helmet shelf, hanging space, adjustable side shelves, a lockable valuables compartment and a vented, lockable lower drawer. Side-mounted power and USB charging support everyday use.

The supplied concept includes a lift-up upper door and a four-inch seat cushion. Measurements, electrical details and the overall locker fit will be verified before building.
Facility projects
01Scout deck above the fieldProposed · subject to district approval
A proposed turfed, scout-only deck atop the first 8′ × 40′ container nearest the baseball field, with railing around it. The container footprint is 320 square feet; usable deck area is still to be designed.
A roof is also planned. Deck structure, access, railings, roof arrangement and approvals require a developed design; no construction solution is shown here.
02Turf that connects the facilityPlanned
The turf facility outside the coaches’ office serves as a waiting station for the cage. A new inward-opening player-room door leads to a continuous rear turf walkway behind the office and future storage, so players can reach the cages without going through the office. Between the dugout and clubhouse, a pony/block wall replaces the chain-link gate/fence to create an enclosed, turfed connection.
The enclosure follows the concrete seam behind the third-base dugout’s machine storage toward the Valley of Death and the back of the player room, continuing toward the cage. Family, coaches’ children and VIP overflow are possible uses, still to be finalized. Blocks are available; installation, labor and remaining funding still need coordination.
03Bullpen & hitting tunnelPlanned improvements
The facility vision includes an on-field bullpen improvement project and renovation of the batting cage / hitting tunnel—not just the clubhouse interior.
Detailed layouts, project pricing and timing have not been finalized for this page. Future photos will document these areas as work progresses.

A separate roll-up storage unit is proposed with its rear aligned to the rear of the shorter coaches’ office. A continuous turf walkway remains behind both the office and storage, connecting the player-room door directly to the cages. Coach Denny is looking for a business connection or donation.
Suitable units can be difficult to source and may require a custom solution. Final selection, placement and delivery remain open.
05A finished clubhouse exteriorDesired · not yet budgeted
Durable flat cladding would conceal the container hardware and corrugation. Faux-brick detailing would tie the clubhouse to the existing press box.
Materials, appearance and pricing are still being explored. This finish is a fundraising need, not a funded or approved specification.
06The Casteel identityPlacement to be selected
Use the official Casteel C logo on the player-room turf and throughout the coaches’ office, replacing horse-head graphics. FOR THE BRAND goes above exit doors, with program quotes selected before fabrication.
A low-profile illuminated ceiling C is back under consideration, subject to height, glare, fit and approval. It is not a confirmed installation.
FURNISHING THE ACTUAL PLAN
What belongs inside.
Two 75-inch smartboards
The program already has two wheeled smartboard TVs to reuse. The player-room board sits directly in line with the solid privacy wall, clear of the new rear player entrance. They are not fixed wall fixtures or new donation needs.
28 lockers + team space
A lengthwise ping-pong table, one easy-clean black couch near the freestanding post, and practical study surfaces. One or two additional wall-mounted TVs are desired for branding and everyday use.
L-shaped desk + 7–8 lockers
One easy-clean black couch, a desk chair and useful storage complete the working space. Furniture dimensions and the final arrangement need coach approval before purchase.

Coach Denny wants a distinct, highly visible thank-you to the Marquez family for their support, including the project’s turf contribution. There will be one tribute, not duplicate plaques. Final tribute wording will be confirmed before fabrication.
Recognition that keeps growing
The plan also calls for acknowledging VanWormer’s assistance and other confirmed contributors. Final names and recognition details will be verified with the Booster Club. The program purchased the containers; the tribute will not attribute that purchase to a donor.
A possible block-sponsorship program
Personalized recognition on the enclosure is an idea under discussion. There are no sales, prices or promised inscription options yet.

Eligible gifts may be deductible to the extent permitted by law. A wish-list estimate, Amazon order or offer to help is not a donation receipt. Complete the donation with the Booster Club and retain your records.
- For donated items: keep your purchase records, a description and condition of the items, and the date the club receives them. The donor determines the appropriate value; the club’s acknowledgment describes the property without assigning a value.
- Gifts of $250 or more: obtain a timely written acknowledgment from the organization, including whether any goods or services were provided in return.
- Noncash deductions over $500: Form 8283 is generally required. Donations over $5,000 generally require a qualified appraisal, subject to IRS exceptions.
- If you receive something in return: generally only the amount above the fair market value of that benefit may be deductible.
Your eligibility, valuation and filing requirements depend on your circumstances. Consult your tax adviser for advice about your donation.
