That's Blake Gonzales making an immediate impact for the Colts.

New to Casteel for the 2026 season, Blake Gonzales immediately became one of the program's most productive hitters. The Class of 2027 infielder and right-handed pitcher wears No. 14, bats and throws right-handed, and is committed to play NCAA Division I baseball at BYU.

Gonzales slashed .429/.561/.595 in his first season as a Colt—good for a 1.156 OPS. His .561 on-base percentage ranks third among Casteel's published single-season leaders, meaning he reached base in more than half of his plate appearances while adding impact power.

His tools match the production. Prep Baseball lists a 104.1 mph maximum exit velocity, a 92 mph infield throw, a fastball up to 92 mph, and a 6.83-second 60-yard dash. At 6-foot-1 and roughly 195 pounds, Gonzales gives Casteel a proven middle-of-the-order bat and a legitimate two-way option.
